What happens when a user clicks on an ad? Each step in the traffic conversion process is explained below.
Publisher website determines space for ad display (e.g. pop-under)
User browser requests ad delivery from msales
Using Amazon's latency based routing, the "closest" server in the msales server network handles the request
All available metrics for the user are gathered (e.g. OS, geolocation, carrier, browser, etc.)
The msales Optimizer attempts to detect and block any bot/botnet/false requests
The msales Optimizer will select all eligible ad/products from the entire global portfolio based on publisher-defined criteria
The msales Optimizer evaluates in real time the best performing ad/product
The selected ad/product content is delivered to the user's mobile device using compression to speed up load times
user interacts with the product and triggers a conversion event (i.e. downloads an app)
The payout to the publisher is transmitted in real-time to the publisher's tracking software, and payouts are updated in the stats panel of msales Insights
